It’s exciting to see 10 weeks of growth - both in the gym, and on the court. Check out Tui Howe’s mid season highlights for dunks, swishes, blocks and more!

Clutch 3's, Dunks, and footage with commentators at the U20 New Zealand Basketball Championships - where I represented Wellington 🇳🇿 🖤 🤍

Tournament Highlights from the Basketball New Zealand U20 National Championship, where our capital city took home 6th place - after going into overtime in the playoff for 5/6th.

Shooting 45% from 3PT against New Zealand’s top players, as well as having the chance to play alongside such great team mates, made this tournament a special one. Ranked 8th for scoring, and named as a rising star player was icing on the cake. And entering the 3-point contest was a great chance to shoot in front of a crowd.

I’m grateful to everyone who helped me to grow my game in my junior high year, especially after coming back from injury. I learnt to keep going, and keep chasing dreams, and never let set backs get in the way.

Tui’s personal best for 3PT accuracy is 80% from 3-point (at a National level). Meanwhile his personal best for most 3-points per game is eight.
These days he consistently shoots five to six three’s per game - and adds additional value with dunks and other rim-driving activity … as well as creating opportunities for team mates.

Playing in the U17 year old National Championships, as a 15 year old, to represent our capital city - Wellington - was pretty epic!
It was even more epic to go into an unheard of triple overtime playoff game. Tui took the court again in OT to secure two clutch 3’s - and contribute to taking home a 5th place win for Wellington.
